Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

We use essential storage only to remember your cookie choice. We switch on statistics (Google Analytics) and behaviour-analysis (Hotjar) tools only if you consent. Without consent they are not loaded and set no cookies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Browser local and session storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) work similarly. Below we call all of these “cookies”.

2. Legal basis

Under the Lithuanian Law on Electronic Communications and the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), information may be stored on or read from your device only with your consent, except where strictly necessary. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous (GDPR Art. 4(11) and 7). We process personal data collected through the statistics and behaviour-analysis tools under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) (consent). More in the privacy policy.

Cookie names and durations follow the providers’ documentation and may change. We do not currently use Hotjar surveys, so the cookies related to them are not set. Browsers limit the lifetime of some cookies (e.g. Safari to 7 days).

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see visits and the most visited pages. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not use the data for advertising. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We keep data for no longer than 14 months. More: Google Privacy Policy. You can also block tracking with a browser add-on: Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

5. Hotjar

We use Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd., Malta) to see how visitors use the site: click maps, scrolling, cursor movement and screen recordings of pages. Text typed into form fields is not recorded. We keep data for no longer than 12 months. More: Hotjar Privacy Policy.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

Some data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, e.g. in the US. In that case we rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

7. How to manage or withdraw consent

  • On your first visit a window appears in which “Accept all” and “Reject non-essential” are equally easy. You can also choose separately (“Settings”).
  • You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page, or here: . When you withdraw, we delete the Google and Hotjar cookies and reload the page without them.
  • Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

8. Contact and complaints

Questions: through the contact form. You may lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (VDAI), vdai.lrv.lt.
